Among the standout tablets on the market, the Honor Pad X9a stands out with its large display, stylish design, and useful features. It is aimed at users who want a single device for entertainment, education, and productivity. Its 11.5-inch 2.5K display, 120 Hz refresh rate, four-speaker audio system, and 8,300 mAh battery make it a well-rounded choice for everyday use.
What makes the Honor Pad X9a stand out? What does it offer users who want to watch movies, browse the web, attend online classes, and handle everyday tasks on a tablet? Let’s take a closer look at the device’s key features.
Honor Pad X9a Design: Slim, Lightweight, and Stylish
With its minimalist design and metal body, the HONOR Pad X9a has a modern look. At just 6.77 mm thick and around 475 g, it remains portable despite its large display.
Its slim-bezel design gives the screen more space on the front. This provides a wider viewing area when watching videos, reading e-books, or browsing the web.

11.5-Inch 2.5K Display and 120 Hz Refresh Rate
One of the HONOR Pad X9a’s most notable features is its display. The tablet has an 11.5-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 2508 × 1504 pixels.
A refresh rate of up to 120 Hz helps make on-screen motion look smoother. You can notice the difference while scrolling through social media or web pages, or playing supported games.
Here are some of the display’s key specifications:
Display size: 11.5 inches
Resolution: 2508 × 1504 pixels
Refresh rate: up to 120 Hz
Typical brightness: 400 nits
Screen-to-body ratio: 86%
Color gamut: 100% sRGB
The 2.5K resolution helps text look sharper and images appear more detailed. This is especially useful for online learning materials, digital books, and video platforms.
The HONOR Pad X9a also has TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free viewing. These technologies are designed to support eye comfort, though taking regular breaks remains important during long screen sessions.
Immersive Sound with Four Speakers
Display quality matters, but audio performance is just as important on a tablet. With its four-speaker system, the Honor Pad X9a is designed to deliver a more immersive sound experience for movies, TV shows, and videos.
The four-speaker setup helps distribute sound across different parts of the device, making videos more enjoyable to watch, especially in landscape orientation.
Audio enhancement technologies can make speech clearer in supported scenarios, which is useful for online meetings, video calls, and educational videos.
For users looking for a large-screen tablet for movies and TV shows, the HONOR Pad X9a’s display and audio features combine to create a compelling multimedia experience.
Everyday Performance with the Snapdragon 685
The Honor Pad X9a is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685. Built on a 6 nm process, this octa-core processor is designed for everyday use.
Browsing the web, using social media apps, watching videos, joining online meetings, and editing documents are among the tasks the tablet is designed to handle.
The tablet runs MagicOS 9.0, based on Android 15.
Memory and storage options may vary by version. In some markets, Honor offers an 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage configuration, providing a solid starting point for apps and everyday files.
Memory management features such as HONOR OS Turbo may support virtual memory expansion on compatible versions. However, virtual memory does not offer the same performance as physical RAM.
The Snapdragon 685 is designed to deliver balanced performance for everyday tasks. Keep expectations realistic for graphics-intensive games or demanding professional apps.
8,300 mAh Battery and 35 W Fast Charging
Battery capacity is an important consideration for people who use their tablet frequently throughout the day. The HONOR Pad X9a supports extended use with its 8,300 mAh typical-capacity battery.
This capacity can be useful for watching videos, browsing the web, attending online classes, and reading documents. Actual battery life varies with screen brightness, connectivity, apps, and how intensively the tablet is used.
The tablet supports 35 W fast charging, allowing it to recharge in less time when used with a compatible adapter.
The large battery is a notable advantage for students and mobile workers who may not have regular access to a charger throughout the day.
Smart Features with MagicOS 9.0
The HONOR Pad X9a offers software features that support everyday tasks as well as content consumption.
Some of the key features available with MagicOS 9.0 include:
Multi-screen collaboration: Makes it easier to share certain content and interact between the tablet and supported HONOR phones.
Phone notification sync: On compatible devices and software versions, lets you check phone messages and some notifications on the tablet.
AI-powered voice notes: In supported languages, converts recordings to text and makes spoken content easier to review.
Google Kids Space: Supports family use with child-friendly content and parental controls.
Feature availability may vary depending on the device version, region, app support, and compatible HONOR phone models.
Who is the Honor Pad X9a Suitable For?
With features that suit different needs, the HONOR Pad X9a may be worth considering for the following users:
Students: A large screen for online classes, digital books, lecture videos, and notes.
Movie and TV fans: Supports multimedia use with an 11.5-inch display and four-speaker audio.
Everyday users: A suitable option for browsing the web, using social media, and making video calls.
Office workers: Can handle essential tasks such as email, document editing, and online meetings.
Users on the go: Combines portability with a large 8,300 mAh battery in a slim metal body.
On the other hand, if your priority is games that require intensive graphics, advanced video editing, or professional applications that demand high processing power, it would be beneficial to consider tablets with more powerful hardware.
Should the Honor Pad X9 be purchased?
HONOR Pad X9a stands out as a balanced tablet option for daily use with its wide and high-resolution display, 120 Hz refresh rate, four-speaker sound system, slim metal design, and high battery capacity.
A model worth considering, especially for users who want to watch videos, browse the internet, participate in online classes, and perform basic productivity tasks.
However, it is necessary to evaluate the processor performance, storage capacity, whether the keyboard accessory is included in the package, and the current sale price together when making a purchasing decision.
If you prioritize a large screen and long battery life, the HONOR Pad X9a is one of the alternatives worth considering for your daily tablet needs.
